So yesterday i met with an attorney for a free consultation, he told me I would have the easiest case all day for him. I pretty much own nothing the trustee would want to take. He also said he could start for $600 then finish the rest in payments. So my question for you guys (i may have to ask the attorney) What should i do with my money once the automatic stay happens? I bring in $400 a week more or less and i dont want them to think i have a loads of cash. increase my contribution to 401k? repair my car? pay off his fees to try and lower my bank account balance? And can i do the credit counseling lets say this weekend and file with him in a week? ( I was using a debt management company so i have enough to start with the escrow account i have). Which btw was the dumbest thing i've ever done. I would never use debt management or negotiation companies ever again. THanks for the help in advance, and if you need anymore info i will supply it if i can.

Even bringing home $400 a week you will still have expenses (food, cell phone, insurance if you have a car, utilities, etc)
