Hey everyone,
I filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy back in 2020, but after a year, I had to withdraw due to a huge increase in my payment—going from $1,000 to $3,000 per month. Since then, I’ve been working on rebuilding my credit. I've had a few collections fall off naturally over time, and I initiated disputes for others. Recently, I was approved for a Capital One card with a $300 limit.
However, the Chapter 13 bankruptcy is still showing up on my credit report, and it's the biggest hurdle in my credit recovery. Is there any way to get it removed early, or am I stuck with it until 2027 (when it will naturally fall off)?
Any insights or suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

unfortunately non-discharged 13's stay on your credit report for 7 years, unfortunately it's an accurate reporting so it'll stay
A chapter 13, discharged or dismissed will stay for 7 years... a chapter 7 would stay for 10.
Strange story.
Your payment tripled? Big pay increase with the new job?
You said you disputed... what exactly? Legit debts?
As the others said... 2027. One you file it's on your report. They don't remove it for dismissals.
