So I hear the standard request for personal AMEX credit cards is 3x the current limit.
Anyone have data points for business AMEX card?
Like if someone has a $25k business credit limit card with amex, should they try for $75k?
What are some things to know or look out for, in regards to business income, personal income, number of cards, etc and requesting credit limit increases. Please share your wisdom to help us!
I really want to total $100k business credit

In the hypothetical you posed, most people would be turned down for that 75k limit.
Although people are often pleasantly surprised with the 3x CLI (probably more accurately termed a 2X CLI), and although Amex is on the friendly side in the CLI department, it's not some kind of blind CLI granting machine.
As to telling you what underwriting standards they might apply, I'm sure it's a mix of the type of things you mention, plus your score.

Yes, you can get 3X CLI, however probably at lower SL. CLI are still based off of personal credit. I was auto increased from 2K to 6K after 6 months on the BBP.

Yeah, I think you're right on most people will be turned down for the 75k limit on a single card. I think multiple cards would be better. I notice you have a really huge limit, I am curious if you were just starting out, with what you know now, what would you say is the fastest way to get $100k personal credit and $100k business credit?

Diversify. Keep revolving utilization low.

thanks, anything more spesific you notice that gets high limits especially from credit unions? like was it keep requesting for them to increase or show/tell them something
Great ? 3x $3k seems tame enough not to ask ?s, but 3x $20k? Now what?
Plus, I hear that $35K in total Amex portfolio limits could trigger an imcome/docs inspection if your spend/balances gets out of hand.
Any thoughts or references...anyone?

It's not written in stone, but to your point, several DP's state if/when a single account (not your entire AMEX Portfolio) would exceed $35K on a revolver or POT limit, you may be asked for financial documentation @LP007
Typically, one can go up to $35K without that request...of course, YEMV

interesting, do you happen to know the typical document they request?
So a person with $25k limit, should just ask for $35k limit if they want a chance at instant approval?

When Amex attacked all my cards' CLs, biz & pers, because I held a high balance on my BCE, they asked for income & liquid assets docs to return the higher limits on all my cards, but said I only needed to pay down my BCE to a $4k balance by a certain date to get my $25K CL back on that one card. After that, I kept my mouth shut on CLIs.
