Just wondering what the consensus is for opening an Amex business card in 2024; if they do a HP or SP if you already have a relationship with them. I have two personal cards with Amex, along with business checking, personal checking, personal loan, and I just opened a high yield savings account with them. I technically started with them in 2007, but they did an account review in 2010 or so, so I paid my balance and closed my account (self employed at the time, so I didn't have tax returns to support my income then). I know when I opened a second card with them, it was a SP, but I've seen mixed DP on whether they do a HP or SP for a new business card when you have other accounts with them.
I forgot to add more details. Been paying off a lot of other cards to lower my DTI. With Amex, my Blue Cash Everyday has $18K SL and Blue Cash Preferred has 8K SL (and that is PIF). Fico 8 with EX is 756, but Vantage 3 scores from CreditKarma show as 666 for TU and 744 for EX (because TU doesn't reflect that I've paid down $15K in balances on other cards yet).
It's generally a SP 9.8 times out of 10, but there's always a possibility of a HP... forget the Vantage scores, they don't use them. Best of luck!

It's almost always soft pull.
