Not a fan of USB so a downgrade
imo. I closed mine Amex Bus Prime card after the one year anniversary.
First Lowe's now this...UGH!!! My two fav AmEx biz cards gone in the same year... this sucks!

Yeah I thought the same, I had the Lowe's Business card and closed it before it moved to Synchrony. Now they are about to move my Amazon Business card, too, but I have accounts with US Bank already so not as big of a deal. I'm more interested in what kind of changes there will be, if any. I liked the Amex Amazon business card just the way it was, nice card, easy to use and redeem, Amex app and customer support are great.

I’m not sure if this is a good thing or not, but I got an email from Amex this morning saying the business card is moving over to U.S. Bank. I'm guessing the portfolio sucked for them. A few years ago (because of this forum), I got a business card with Citi Costco and realized how easy it was to get business credit through my “side gig.” It’s nice having a “secret” card that doesn’t report to your personal credit and gives you an extra 30 days to pay (meaning I didn’t have to pay it off before the statement cycle closed). I have a pretty strong relationship with Amex on the personal side and have picked up a few business cards (Gold, Amazon, and Marriott), all with decent limits.
Now that this card is moving to U.S. Bank, does anyone know how flexible they are with “side gigs?”
US Bank is in my opinion the better issuer. I however might be biased because of the high number of accounts that they hold for me. Their main thing is that once your in with US Bank then it gets much easier to get them to do stuff for you. In your case the transfer will be your entry into the new system if you do not already have US Bank product. I can say that I have used my US Bank cards in multiple countries and none have ever let me down. My region does not have branches but US Bank has lots of processing contracts that make charge response fast. For example my state uses them for EBT processing so when I run my card a lot of terminals know where to send the charge. I think in your case the contract was ending and US Bank was just more greedy for business so they offered Amazon a better deal. Think of it as a learning experience. It is well known that Amazon and Chase were doing chats behind the scenes for the Visa card contract in the past year or two and in the end there was a renewal. I think Synchrony Bank might have had chats before that. That is the thing with co-brand cards, eventually they will move around.
What does "In certain situations your card may NOT be replaced with a credit card by US Bank" ???

Likely if you burnt US Bank or credit doesn't meet US Bank UW criteria. I think most will be fine but got to have disclaimers for everything for whatever reason they might not want to issue you a card but believe majority will be fine. Have 2 personal cards and a business card with them so not worried at all about the conversion although not happy about it as AMEX was simple and easy with no redemption minimums and amex offers, etc, etc. Deffinetly will be a slight downgrade for me
Ah got it - thanks.
I already have accounts with USB as well.
Will the AX credit line also transfer to USB as well ?
I'm ambivalent over the whole thing in general but at least I'll have one less card I can't freeze for as long as I choose.
Someone on Reddit shared that US Bank's press release with American Banker mentioned additional rewards being added so I'm curious how that all shakes out. Would be nice if they at least add the 6% with slow shipping that the Chase version gets.

One fewer card.
I hate US Bank for credit cards. They will not approve me for anything over $1000. So I xferred some of my credit limit from my BBC to my Amex Prime card and let's see what they do with that when it flops over! HA! I will certainly not get a CLI on the Prime card when it hits USB so might as well load it up now.
I'll probably be one of those who gets dumped rather than moved over. I have a checking account with USB because there's an ATM right down the street but they will not give me a decent limit on a card. I had a secured Altitude Go for years that they would not graduate so I canceled it. Then I got a Kroger card and received an exciting $1000 SL which they will not increase. Still have that card due to the 5% back on mobile payments though.
I have a feeling this will be a mess. Got a Synchrony Amazon Store card but I like that the biz card utilization is hidden so I rarely use the store card. Chase will not give me a card.
