Amex BBP reporting

I have seen some threads mention that Amex business cards do not report to my personal file. Is this really the case? I figured since I had to secure the card personally, and it is linked along with all of my Amex personal cards, it would report to the CRA's along with everything else. Does it really not hit my personal file? If it does not, I am assuming it won't impact my 5/24?

Re: Amex BBP reporting

The Amex BBP doesn't appear on my credit reports or affect 5/24 status. None of Amex's business cards report on your personal credit reports.  So you should be good to apply if you're interested.  There are a couple of exceptions, but the majority of the business cards offered by banks don't appear on our credit reports even when using a personal guarantee during the application process. Last I checked Discover, Capital One and TD Bank business cards were the only one's that appear on your personal credit reports (although I've heard some say Capital One has now changed and no longer appear either, but I haven't verified this change myself).

This is correct. Cap1 does not report at all anymore either.

@Ficoproblems247  thank you so much for confirming this change with Capital One!

I don't believe this is accurate.  I have a Cap1 Spark Business Visa card, opened earlier this year, which shows on all 3 of my personal reports,    Can you confirm where you read this ?

Regarding AMEX, their biz CCs won't show on your personal reports unless you default Smiley Happy

Yes it really does not report to personal credit and really does not show up in 5/24.  Most business cards do not report to personal credit (Beware of 3 exceptions, Capital One, Discover, and TD Bank).
