Amex Business Credit line Reallocation

Looking for some guidance on a couple cards I have. I have a Blue Cash Preferred with 10k limit and a Blue Business Plus with 20k limit. My BBP is mostly sock drawered now so I'd like to actually just flip flop these limits with maybe a small modest increase (say BCP 24k and BBP 10k).

Amex website doesn't allow you to move credit from business to personal cards. What's the course of action here? Request a decrease in the BBP to 10k and then request an increase to the BCP to 24k?

I've read about potential documentation when going above 34.5k total credit, so I'm ok staying below that.

Also I've read some DPs here and there about hard pulls on Amex CLI, though it is uncommon. I couldn't find anything about potential causes, is that known here? Is it similar to the documentation request for the 25k single card or 34.5k total I see around here?

@Otto77  I moved your thread from the thread it was in and changed your title as was more related to business credit.

With regards to your question there is on work around i know about of moving business to personal but can move personal to business credit.  your best bet is if you are at AMEX threshold of credit offered is to call or chat and ask for a CLD of said business cards and most of those arent hard limits anyways and they dont report then eventually ask and hopefully will receive on one of your personal amex's assuming your spend/profile, etc support said increase.  As always if turned down recently for CLI on business or personal must wait the same amount of time as spelled out in 3x CLI guide, etc.

Also there should be no HP on CLI on an amex card maybe rare ocassions of that happening if persons profile is very borderline, but even then i cant remember last time i have read of such a thing.  New cards rarely it happens on with a person that already has amex as a lender, but CLI's cant think of ever hearing this although dont pay much attention to 3x thread anymore.

Thank you for the move and information. It gave me a little more confidence and I just went for the CLI and they instantly approved me for the 24k (2.4x) that I asked for. Thank you for the tips! I guess I will leave the BBP for now.

Also if Amex wants any docs during cli, you have the opportunity to back out and ask for lower amount and submit again... there is NOTHING verified for any amount that requires docs... you should have just asked for your 3x.
