I've read that for many new Amex Personal platinum card members, they notice their NPSL hovering around $2500 or so until more data is acquired. I'm wondering if there are any data points for their Biz card seeing as how to max out their current bonus, you have to spend $20k in three months. Am I expected to make multiple payments throughout the month while their algorithm adjusts, will they send emails or notifications if I'm approaching my NPSL. I might be in the minority on this, but my favorite card tends to be the one least likely to ever get declined.

The first biz platinum I had with amex had a 10K “internal limit”. The most recent biz card started with a 250K “limit” With AMEX, it is dependent on your personal profile, your history with them, and I suspect some other things like the economy, etc. The point is, that it is way too variable and app specific to give an answer. What I can say, is that whatever limit you are given to start, stay under it the first 2-3 months. If you have to make multiple payments to pay it down, then do so. That is how I handle both my personal and business Amexs.
Thank you. If/when I pull the trigger, I'm highly inclined to just charge up to around $5k (if that ends up working) and then make a payment early as you suggested over a couple of months until I can feel things out. Not quite sure where my monthly spending will end up over the next couple of months and I'm not interested in trying to hack the system. I just want one card I can use for most of my expenses without ever having to run into a wall.
When we received our most recent business charge cards "Pay Over Time" was an option and once clicked to enroll offered $35k.
That gave us a pretty good idea that if $35k can be revolved, you can probably charge to at least that if not over... Which has been true!
How do you see your AMEX "internal limit" as stated by @flyingmd ?
I had no idea that there actually was a "limit" to a NPSL and I kinda goofed early on. I got my new AMEX BG and in an attempt to make my SUB spend for the card, put vendor charges totaling 16k on it the first month and they gave me a friendly call to say, "please make a payment to continue using your card, since this is a brand new card", which translates to "cool it". This meant I needed to then put 25k of business spend on the personal AMEX and it wrecked my untilization and my score plummeted for a month or so. It has made me a bit gun-shy to try large amounts again, it has now been 6 months and I have kept it under under 12k. BTW, I still haven't gotten up the guts to go anywhere near the luv button.
I have now read in the forums it is better to take it easy with AMEX until we get to know one another and they can see my spending/payment patterns. My business spending is hard to predict, when I need to spend it is usually in large chunks. Thankfully, I had done those kind of numbers (for business) before on the personal card (smh, I know, but it's complicated), but I think they called the first time too, rather than decline a charge.
So far, their customer service is the best, even for that initial large spend, I explained that I was traveling on a work trip, what I expected my spend to be for the remainder of the trip, when I would make the payment upon my return and they did not leave me in a lurch on the road.
It was scary though and as I type this, I am thinking I might need to PC or diversify a bit, but I will ask about that in another post.
