I got my first Amex card last month and noticed the Member since date printed on it is 2014 not 18. However I am an account manager for my work Amex since 2014 as well as have a card in my name but it's not on my CR. So I am assuming they just go by the date I was first entered into their system.
My question is, if anything happened with the business Amex like it was defaulted on by my employer will that affect my personal account or relationship with Amex? And on the flip side is the fact that I am an Account Manager and AU on a business account helping my relationship with them in terms of future approvals and CLI's since technically I have been a member for 4 years or do they really not care?
I'm sure it's irrelevant but I was curious. We used to put a lot of spend on the Amex through work untiil last year when we got the Cap One Sparks 2% card, my boss is in love with that card, I personally like Amex better because of their customer service but I don't make the rules and cash back wins lol.
You are not responsible for the card unless you are the one that is doing the PG on it. Period. It will never under any circumstance appear on your consumer credit reports.
Assuming this is a business card and not a corporate card, you will have zero benefits as an AU on the card when it comes to your own accounts.

Correct it's a Business Gold rewards card and that's good to know. I just found it odd when I apped for my personal card they didn't use that as my member date since the other was just through work as a user. Thanks for your response!
