Chase Ink Cash

Ok so, bear with me! I don't plan on making any major credit decisions any time soon until I get my balances down and let some accounts age. But I've been eyeing this card and would like some advice.

1) What are the qualifications? I know Chase is strict with their business cards. I have the CapOne Spark to build business credit but I wonder if there's a minimum income or amount of time your business must be intact.

2) Does the "cash" translate to UR like the Freedom?

I would love to have another card that earns UR that I could use with my CSP, the Freedom doesn't do much for me, but this one offers 5% on office supplies, phone and cable. This would be awesome for me and I could move all my bill pay spend to this card as well as get supplies for my students. The 2% for gas and restaurants isn't too impressive because I use my Hilton for that. But the 5% categories would be plenty. If I use my CSP for travel spend, Hilton for gas, grocery and restaurant spend, Ink for bills, and Venture for uncategorized spend, that leaves pretty much every other card in my sig obsolete, except for the BofA Cash since I use it for BankAmerideals. I haven't used my Delta Amex since I met the spend bonus, so I think PCing it to SPG may be more useful, and if i move my bills to the Ink, that leaves nothing for the AAdvantage (which I also rarely use). The Forward stays around for iTunes purchases, concert and football tickets. Am I off with anything here? Is this a decent plan? What could I do with my AAdvantage? I like the miles but I really rarely fly

Re: Chase Ink Cash

icyhot - exactly what I do. Earn points with the Chase Sapphire Preferred VS and the Chase Ink Business Cash VS. Works well and I like the partnership. Previously, I had a Chase Freedom VS but it did not really work for my spending pattern and I don't like chasing categories. So I said goodbye to it. Another poster mentioned the Chase Plus (Travel Card) which does have the points 1:1 transfer option to travel partners that may be of interest (forgot about that - take a look at the travel partners to see if that really fits).

Re: Chase Ink Cash

If you want to earn UR poins you will want the INK Plus not the INK Cash.

I dont think there is any minimum revenue qualification as I have seen some approved that had brand new biz with no revenues.

I think it will depend mostly on your personal credit profile and income. Chase reportedly does not like to see more than 5 new accounts in the past two years for UR earning cards but it does not seem to be a hard and fast rule.

If you apply just be ready to answer questions about your business.

Re: Chase Ink Cash

Don't you have more than 5 new accounts in 2 years? That will end the conversation right there. You may need to wait anyway.

The Ink Cash wont earn UR points, youd want the Ink Plus. Be prepared to explain and document your business as im sure you know.

Re: Chase Ink Cash

The best way to have this answered is in business credit. With CSP, Ink Cash UR are indeed transferable, and you don't have to worry about whether travel is business or personal. A better combo, lower interest rate on the Ink Cash.

Wrong.  One does earn UR points with the Ink Cash.

Re: Chase Ink Cash

INK Cash has 25K cap on the 5X cats correct but no annual fee?

So to make the $95 annual fee for the INK Plus worthwhile you have to spend atleast $27,000 on the 5X cats.

I dont understand whyanyone would get the INK Cash over the Plus especially with the 50K sign up bonus vs. 20K on Cash.

Yep, pretty much all my accounts have been opened in the last 2 years, but do we know for a fact that same rules applies to business cards?

Re: Chase Ink Cash

Yes-Its-Me is right about UR points.

As far as why anyone would get Ink Cash I suppose it depends on the person. The reasons I wanted it were bc it offers a 0% APR, not concerned with transferring points to this or that partner or using it for travel and the card benefits suit my needs.

Ink Cash has no AF, I already have AF with CSP and I don't really need the bonus
