Chase Ink in branch app

Does anyone have any experience apping for an Ink in branch? I have a large purchase I want to make and I want to put it on an Ink, I'm planning on applying for an ink in branch. My question is do they have a little leeway to talk to underwriting about credit limits and recon? I'm confident I'll get approved with my PG but I'm not sure they'll give me the credit limit I need.

Re: Chase Ink in branch app

I always app in-branch for Chase non-cobrand CCs with a private client banker who I've built a banking relationship. The banker attribute probably makes not much difference with Chase UW. At least, that's how I feel.

The private client banker that I speak with said biz apps first go though the Chase app algorithm. If instant approval, that's the CL. If it goes pending, UW manually checks for missing information or app profile confirmation.

Both Ink Unlimited and Cash were instant approvals. Chase banking relationship prior to the 2 Ink apps:  personal/business checking & savings accounts, mortgage, car loan, CSR $31,000.

YMMV. Total Chase CL exposure, DTI, UTIL, personal income, and the rest all come into the mix.

How much CL are you looking for?

I'm only looking for 10k. I'm trying to utilize the 0% for a while and of course hit the SUB. I have an unlimited at 4k and a CSP at 5k and an OG freedom at 4.8k. Of course I have my business checking at chase but I haven't had any income yet and won't until January 2024.

Re: Chase Ink in branch app

It may be worth a try. Many CC issuers take into account what the other CLs are in your credit profile. For Chase, a higher starting CL may be possible if you've been putting on good spend on your current Unlimited and CSP. A bump to $10,000 for new CL may be possible. On the other hand, the highest CL is CSP $5,000 according to your profile.

I don't think an in-branch app will have much leverage versus an online app as regards to the starting CL. I visit my private banker for new account openings and CC apps to maintain and to develop my banking relationship.

Right on. I only ever spend money with Chase so they get a lot of spend from. Here's to hoping.
