Anyone applied for a new credit card after accepting a forbearance on other debt? (On credit report I'm listed as 100% current on accounts but have a note/remark "affected by natural disaster")
My situation: I have enough reserves on the personal side to not need to apply for a forbearance on my mortgage, credits cards or anything else. However, I have a small business and accepted a forbearance for an unsecured loan and company vehicle. These are both in my personal name though so they show up on my credit report (as remarks, not lowered credit).
I'd like to apply for a business credit card with a 0% interest period, but am afraid seeing the remark will cause CC to reject me despite an 800 credit score. Anyone have experience here?
Are cc applications mostly automated so that notes won't matter? Or are they going through with a fine tooth comb due to the times?
thanks!
I was approved for 3 or 4 cards after requesting forbearance on my chase auto loan and they definitely put a comment in my reports.

I think everything's mostly automated unless it goes to manual review, in which case they WOULD go through it meticulously.
Yes that meticulous review is my concern, especially with business credit cards. I've been approved for 100% of the business credit cards I've applied for in the past, but 80% of the time they go to review for a later approval, whereas regular cc are usually instant decision for me.
