I'm wanting to snag this card but I feel my approval odds aren't great.
My Experian Fico 8 is 700, Equifax is 728 and TransUnion is 758
My oldest account is about 6.5 years and average age is 3.5
I bought a car in 05/24 and they pulled a bajillion hardpulls. I got the Amex BCP in 08/23 and the Bilt in 12/24
My business is sole proprietor. I'm a personal trainer for the past two years and making around 1000$ per year
I've also never banked with Chase nor have I ever had a Chase credit card. Right now I only have 3 active credit cards, 1 closed and 2 closed auto loans.
What are my odds you think?

Your scores are good enough to qualify. The banking relationship shouldn't matter for an entry level starting limit approval. I have virtually no relationship with them and they've been very generous. They'll likely double pull your personal reports, EX and TU. Being there's quite a discrepancy in your EX and TU scores, the other questions/considerations would be:

- What derogatory items might be on your reports
- What you current utilization is.
I don't have any debt. My utlization stays <1%
It's just a side hustle. But I want to grow and become more official. I also flip items on Ebay.
i only have 1 late payment from 6 years ago
also my income is 59k/yr

Still surprising your EX is only at 700 with one late that's 6 years old... Either way, they're going to base their decision on your personal profile. I would think you'd have a decent shot at an approval based on your scores, and the info you gave.

could help for you to open a chase business checking for the business and throw $2k in there for the bonus

Believe it or not, I would not be surprised for you be accepted. I've seen these cards go to people with 'side hustles' or startups. It doesn't seem to matter to them that your business is tiny or new. I've seen people with your kind of credentials get accepted for an Ink card.
Me, however, I can't get one if I stand on my head in Macy's window.
But you're fortunate to have @JoeRockhead advising you; he actually knows how to get an Ink card, while I've only seen other people get them.

To increase your chance to get approved, book an appointment in the branch, apply for both biz checking and ink card at the same time. Both have good SUB and make business bookkeeping and taxation much easier.
Chase typically pulled both EX and TU for my personal and biz applications. Your EX is running low while it should be sufficient for an ink card and for a sole propriator purpose.

Firstly, I want to say THANK YOU to Joerockhead. On posting this thread I decided I would open a checking account with chase and wait 6 months before applying. Then I got excited and applied anyway. I believe I was automatically declined due to "fraud" so, in line with most advice on the internet, I CALLED and REACHED OUT to a rep and after driving an hour to a chase bank to verify my Drivers license, I was approved! 4k
After my excitement wore off I settled down and got my plans together and decided I would wait 6 months to apply for either a WF AC or CCC. Then I got excited at work and applied for the CCC anyway a week after the Business Ink cash and I was also approved for the CCC !
I promise I am done now for at least 6-12 months ![]()
Very nice, congratulations on your approvals @Bluebell! Happy it worked out for you.
Best of luck in the garden.
