Fleetcor Fuelman Universal Premium upgraded me from a Fleetcard ($9k Limit) to a Mastercard ($12k Limit).
The Fleetcard only let me make purchases at gas stations and auto service stations.
The Mastercard allows me to purchase at any location where Mastercard is accepted.
Has anyone received the same upgrade?
Were you able to increase your credit limit on the Mastercard?
If so, how did you increase your credit limit?
Nice upgrade and limit increase, congratulations!
Hadn't heard this one before...Congrats!
I want to say congratulations, but I read this on the Fuelman website: $8.99/month per cardMC1, minimum $40 per month (First 3 months waived)
$8.99 a month fee for the card. You don't have any other means to get gas? I've had several gas cards over the years, which were all sold to WEX, who then closed them on me, no great loss, WEX is a horrible bank to deal with. But I've found the rewards of using an AMEX or Chase card for fuel to much better in terms of rewards for the spend vs. a deicated credit line for fuel. I realize some businesses won't want to tie up those lines with fuel expenses, but most of the fuel cards require PIF anyway. Just my 2 cents...

Agreed with the above. I've also found that most fuel cards now backed by WEX has a monthly fee/charge of some kind, which eats into any potential discounts fast, unless you are going through hundreds of gallons of fuel every month on a large fleet or OTR logistics transport.
Other than that, a general cash back or points card offers better savings/benefits for the smaller or more localized fleets.
My GM card is dedicated to the 3point per dollar fuel category as well as the 3points for dining (travel related food costs) and I use the points for fleet vehicle maintenance savings/discounts or potentially to go towards the licensing, registering, and down payment of adding a GM vehicle to my fleet.
You can issue employee/driver/operator cards just like one does with WEX.
In my opinion anyways.
There are some WEXINC CREDIT cards (as opposed to CHARGE cards), without setup/monthly fees.

WEX FlexCard (gas/convenience store)
ExxonMobil BusinessPro Card (gas/convenience store)
Shell Small Business™ Card
Chevron and Texaco Business Access Card
I recall the ExxonMobil card asking me to agree to a monthly fee last year before I terminated the application.
The flexcard also states the following at the bottom of the cards detail page: "Additional terms and fees may apply."
Which I would assume means they will have a disclosure on the last page of the application like ExxonMobil did asking to agree to a monthly service fee.

You are correct; during card type selection, it warned about the fees. However, when I proceeded to submit the application, it displayed zero fees. I kept a screenshot of the terms and conditions.
The WEX FlexCard doesn't have any monthly/annual fee; the WEX Fleet card, however, does.
I was able to raise my limit from $12,000 to $22,000 ☺.
This is still net 30, but I can use this mastercard for all business expenses, not just for fuel and auto services.
I'm still working on my personal credit score, so I have not yet applied for an Amex or Chase card for my business.
