How to get WEX without a PG

I applied this past week. Have 2 accounts showing. Have been in business about a year.

They conditionally approved but they want a $500 deposit. Is there a way to get around this? How many accounts need to show up before they approve?

A secured gas card kind of defeats the purpose. Can do that with any bank card for that matter. Wells Fargo secured business card comes to mind. Have you tried others?

Who do you have reporting?  You likely need a couple / few more.  I was turned down for one of their cards a year agou but they approved for a $19.5k Shell Fleet recently.    The good think is, you can keep trying within limits as there is no Hard Pull per se.

So far Uline and Strategic are reporting to Experian.

Still waiting for grainger, quill, summa, supplyworks to show up. 

Nothing is reporting on DnB yet.

Applied for the RaceTrac Universal Card. Should I have gone for the normal Fleet card backed by Wex?

No. You should wait until your accounts report to D&B.

Like others have stated slow your roll and wait for your Paydex to show. Right now on paper youre still a newbie. Usually from what I've seen people wait till they get to teir 2 (5+ TLs reporting) before they start apping for gas and fleet cards.

Likely yes.  I think the universal cards, especially those branded MC or Visa are way harder to get unless you PG.
