I currently have a Chase Ink Cash card. What I wanted to consider doing was PC the Ink Cash to an Ink Unlimited, then apply for a new Ink Cash card. But I wonder about several things:
1) What are Chase's rules for product changing? (I've had the Ink Cash for 2.5 years now)
2) Would they let me apply for the Ink Cash after just PCing out of it? And would I be eligible for the SUB?
3) How soon after a PC can I PC the same account again? Do I have to wait a year or something like that?
Thank you for the info!

I don't get it. Why not just apply for the Unlimited?
Maybe they meant the Preferred? Since that's literally what I'd like to do after my Cash card is a year old, so I'm interested in the answers to this...
Ultimately, what I wanted to end up with was two Ink Cash cards, to double my business spend.
What I originally thought was I could get the INK Unlimited, then PC to another Cash after about a year. (This is the simpler way).
But if I could PC the Ink Cash to an Unlimited, then apply for another Cash, and then PC the Unlimited back into a Cash again, this would be better. It would allow me to earn a new SUB on the new Cash card, which would be preferential because I've already maxed out the 5x on the current Cash card. Then, if Chase allows, I could PC the Unlimited back into a Cash card in a couple of months.
It's more convoluted, I know. And I don't know if Chase would allow this. That's why I'm asking. If it can't be done this way, then I'll just stick to the original plan.
Thanks for the help.

I'm sure you wouldn''t be eligible for a second Ink Cash SUB.
And from what I know of Chase, they will look askance at such a plan as churning, and might wind up closing all your accounts.
So I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. Trying to milk every penny out of Chase is not a sound gameplan IMHO.
If you would like to get an Ink Unlimited, then get one. Otherwise don't.
Perhaps some of the Chase experts will pipe in on this.
(7/4/21 But see @randomguy1 who advises that it's ok to get a 2nd Ink Cash card and get a 2nd SUB.)
You can have two Ink Cash cards. I didn't post it but I was approved for my second Ink Cash last week. Eligible to earn the bonus on the second as well.

Well I guess I was wrong then

Thank you for the insight. But just for clarification, did you already hold one Ink Cash card, and just straight up apply for the 2nd one? Or did you have to PC the 1st one to something different before you could apply for a new Ink Cash card?
Because I THOUGHT the rule was that you couldn't apply for a card you currently have (which is why I was gonna jump through hoops trying to product change the one I had, then switch it back).
Presuming this is dependent on being issued one card with your own SSN, the other card was obtained using the business's EIN
This is how people are able to obtain more than one copy of the same card. Churners in particular used this method to get multiple Ink Preferred cards for the signup bonuses as an example. If one has legitimate use and has that much spend on the categories then I don't see any problem with this

I held a CIC and applied for a new one. In my case, I wanted to seperate expenses between two different sole proprietorships. Chase doesn't seem to care if you use the same EIN or SSN.
