US Bank must be a strange bird. They pulled TU only for me. I was hoping for EX where I have less inquiries - seems others have had an EX HP when applying. After checking, USB was my 9th inquiry on TU (my other inquiries are within six months). Score is 721 there (I believe the same at application). After what seemed like an eternity, I received a text (today) asking me to verify that I applied. I also followed the instructions to call. Very nice CSR completed verification and said I'd receive a decision in a day or two. The pessimist in me felt like it would be a denial given their denial of folks with less inquiries and better scores. No prior relationship with US Bank.
I'm not impressed with the $3k SL, so I may ask for a recon and see what happens (I realize my chances may be slim and I may burn yet another HP) - anyone think this is a bad idea? I wanted a zero interest business card for my line-up. 0% for 18 billing cycles, $0 AF. Putting on my suit to venture off to the business garden.

From what I understand about US Bank, they will do another HP for CLI, so with no prior history with US Bank, I think not a good idea to recon for a higher SL.
I have a few follow up questions:
How did it take to hear back from them (a week? 14 days?). Also with 9 INQ on your TU report how old was your newest account? Any bad accounts on your report?
It took about a week. The most recent account currently showing on TU was opened 12/2023. Newer accounts haven't yet hit my reports. Late payments showing on four accounts (one open, three closed), but three of the accounts are very old to the point of the lates almost aging off my report. ETA: Two of the late payments are from 2023 (autopay wasn't on and I forgot to pay a measly balance) so that helped drag my score down. The other thing I have going is DTI less than 10%; high income, modest mortgage, car paid off. Credit utilization floats between 1-5%.

Thanks for the DPs!
They're a strange bird for sure, so I'm going to wait a while longer and fatten up my checking accounts and cycle my Cash+ before poking their business cards.
Congratulations though on your approval! Hope that you get a nice bump on it to work with before too long.
US Bank is a flexible bank for real estate investing, which is my forte. Good to know that they have an unusual process for approvals. Thanks for sharing your experience.
