3 Cap One pre-qual offers

I’m stuck at a $850 limit on my 1st card post BK13 with Cap One. Just passed my year mark a couple weeks ago. Have been checking their pre-quals with no luck until today.

Now 3 pop up! Quicksilver with no AF, 0% purchase & bal trans plus $150 Sub. Venture with a $50k Sub 1 yr no AF & Savor with a 0% and $150 Sub no AF.

Now I know it would cost me 3 HP...and I’m awfully annoyed with my $850 QS1 limit. And I’m awfully curious to see if I’d get a nice 6 digit SL like I read about. But I would be awfully disappointed if I don’t. Decisions, decisions!

(DH now has 2 pre-qual offers too but for Plat & QS1 with no promos or Subs- his 1st card post Bk is also a QS1 but they have raised him to $4,500)....interesting!

I’m about to pay $6,000 for our summer cruise. Was planning to put on Sam’s MC for 3% CB, but wonder if the Venture with 50k Sub would be a better choice? Any opinions?

Capital one prequals in my experience are pretty solid. I’d say you can go for any of them.. the savor is a really good one if you dine out a lot. That’s the card I’d go for if it fits your needs. If not then the quicksilver.

Their prequals are good, and Venture still gives higher limits for most.
The $560 SUB (500 + 60 from 3k spend) may be worth it.
Could always see about PCing to a no AF card before the Venture’s comes up next year

Howdy!!

If you’re able to get the Minimum Spend right away, I’d go with the Venture and then product change after the year down to the VentureOne if the miles aren’t that important to you. If you get the Venture you can combine the two credit limits and make just one card of your choice. That’s an option. Good luck.
