AAA Credit Card

I am thinking about applying for the AAA credit card.  It is through Bank of America.  I applied last July when my credit was low and about 6 months into having a credit card.  Currently my credit scores average 634.  I have an 8 month old car payment which has been paid on time each month and my 1.5 year-old credit card has also been paid on time each month.  

I hate to apply and get another hard inquiry on my credit.  Should I apply and do you think I'd be approved?

What were the reasons for the initial denial?

According to this review, it indicates at least a 660 score.  Here is a FICO link showing a denial on a low 700 applicant.

The AAA Visa may not be available in some areas; in those regions, you'll be offered various flavors of Mastercard (backed by U.S. Bank) instead.
