@Throttle wrote:Thanks to another posters DP of having his Lexis locked, I cold called the account protection number. They indicated I had a bureau locked. Found out it was Lexis, then proceeded to battle with Lexis to get it temporarily unlocked. After multiple calls back and forth Lexis<->Acct protection I was able to get approved for ~6k credit line!
Unfortunately I got a second Experian hard pull though which I did not authorize -.-. Not sure if I should battle or not.
Congrats on the approval - insofar as starting a battle you can ask Bread/Comenity to withdraw the 2nd hard pull. If they decline to do so, let it go.
I also got the 7-10 notification ...... hopefully it's just to verify identity ....
what is a recon here on this site?
Recon - reconsideration. Most often I see it as people being denied, or with lower limits, that call in to speak to a human to try to get approvals or better terms.

Congrats again on the Costco approval; that’s a great win. As for the 7–10 vs. 10–14 day message; they usually mean the same thing; further review or pending decision; and unfortunately, it often ends up being a denial. Sometimes it can still turn into an approval if they just need to verify something; but I wouldn’t count on it without additional contact from the lender. Hopefully you’ll get the letter this time so you at least know the exact reason.
When I applied last week, it came back for me to call a number. So I did and answered some personal questions and was approved. Card arrived yesterday.
It was a double pull here in TX on EQ & EX
Just recv'd the letter from Comenity today re: the 7-10 business days notification ......
They want me to unfreeze:
1. Experian
2. Equifax
3. Innovis
4. SageStream/LexisNexis
It's a shame because I previously unfroze Equifax and Innovis for them, but I guess they wanted more.
Looks like they'll be doing a double-pull from Equifax - just like the other user here wrote about too
When I call, I'll see if they can use my prior pull, but I am not holding my breath.
As a dp, I'm in California - so other users in The Golden State will want to unfreeze the 4 above when you apply for the AAA card w/ Comenity.
