Hey guys,
Lets say my limit is 9k right now and I go do 3x, thats 27k
Dosen't Amex need proof of income over 25k?
Should I do 24k?
Thanks!

I think that is correct.
I am also at 9k, debating whether to push the 27k next year, just to see if they ask me for the 4506-T form
$24K is what I would do as well. That is what my DW did as well about a month ago. No issues yet.
I apped for two cards on the same day and am coming up for cli. One is at 9.5k and the other at 14.5k. I think I'm going to request the increase on the 9.5k first and going to ask to increase to 23k. I want to stay within 40% of my annual income and increase the other to25k in 180 days assuming the will grant the requests.
good luck to you guys and keep us posted!
I'm totally going to go for over $25k to see what the experience will be like.

Fairly easy experience. Get your 4506-t ready. They will look at transcript at IRS and get back with you. Or they will counter with lower limit. Simple. It's not like a FR. It's just cli request. Also others are now getting up to 35k with no tax request. Ymmv. Good luck.
So what do you all think? 24k or 25k!?

Go for $25k, see if you get a counter or request for more info. I've heard if one reaches that limit ($25k) there is no penalty to back it off to $24.5k, as part of the negotiation. AMEX is happy either way. If you want more CL, and they ask, you just have to provide more details so they get happy at the higher level, as noted earlier in the thread.
