AMEX BCP Denial w/ EX 832 - Help Needed

Good afternoon. Applied for the Amex BCP this afternoon and received immediate denial. Will receive a letter in 10 days. I decided to call and they said reason for denial is too many new accounts opened recently. Have only opened an auto loan last year, but other than that nothing in the last 12 months. Is recon an option? What would I exactly say to overturn their decision? Can anyone please provide the direct number to recon? This list above this page is a bit confusing with no mention of a direct recon number. I'm pretty bummed because it is my first denial.

WOW I don't blame you for being upset. However, they do consider more then just your scores. Income, DTI, etc. Please wait for the letter and post exactlly the reason. The reason told to you is probably a mistake

That's CRAZY!!!!! You should have easily gotten that card before me 🥴. I was going to say there is a list but looks like you looked at it already, hope someone has that number for you smh, I would definitely recon if I were in your shoes. Good Luck!!

You should definitely recon, because there is a definite mistake. I would start with this number:  800-567-1083

What's your previous history (good or bad) with AMEX if you have history with them?

Do you still have BCE? What other AmEx cards do you have?

@stw715 I have no relationship with AMEX. I helped a sibling acquire the BCE in the past.

@Anonymous  I finally received the denial letter in the mail. It states the following

Reason of our decison:

1. Based on your credit report, you have too many new bank card accounts.

That's the only reason stated. 

Below are my DP:

Inquiries (month/year): 11/19, 12/19, 9/20

Inquiries: 0/12, 3/24

Accounts opened: 0/12, 3/24
