AMEX Blue Cash App caused CLD?

Hello all, been a while as I have been working terible hours..

Anyway, I applied for the AMEX Blue Cash, I had the everday card at 16,000.00 limit.

I was approved for the Blue cash card for 10,000.00, and was happy, then saw they decresed my limit on my everday card down to 9,000.00!

Is that something they do often? or is it something my profile that caused it? should I be worried?

Thanks for any feedback!

It's normal as Amex has an internal exposure limit for everyone and you were probably at it.  $10,000+$9,000 = $19,000 internal exposure limit.

Over time, showing you can use those limits responsibly, and reporting raises on income report should raise that.

What's your utilization on Amex like?

OP: You probably hit your internal max. allowed credit for your profile---although they could have just approved the BCE for the remaining $3000 SL. If you wanted to once you get the BCE card you could probably go on chat and ask them to put the $7K back on the ED, but it will lower your BCE limit to $3K. Or wait 6 mos and depending on your EX score and income ask for up to $27K on the ED.

Re: AMEX Blue Cash App caused CLD?

Thanks, glad to hear it is not something just I am seeing.

Util,

I run around 2-3k a month on my AMEX (most was about 6k), normally PIF, leave a balance once in a while.

I did recently use that new Pay-It plan, I had to replace a turbo charger on my car, and wanted a reason to see what that new thing was like Smiley Happy.

Other than that, nothing new lately.

Thanks again.
