AMEX CLI Request question

The last CLI I received was February 28, 2018 according to my email, which was an automatic CLI on the BCE. I am at day 61 for the Magnet card and was wondering whether I need to wait 181 days from Feb 28th, or whether automatic increases don't count towards the 181 rule? 181 days from Feb 28th would be Aug 28th, so there's no big hurry to request a CLI. I attempted a CLI at day 31 and got the letter saying I needed to wait 6 months from the last request.

Any auto CLIs that Amex gives you will not count towards the 181 day rule.

Everything with the CLI from AMEX is confusing. The last email I received about a CLI was February 28th, but the limit was raised to $10,400. I just realize my limit was $12k before I transferred $2k from that card last month. I went into the chat and asked about past CLI's and they said I actually had an increase in March, but I have no email records of that. The CCR stated: "You can place the request from Sept 7th onwards". Apparently I double-dipped from their auto CLI for an extra $1,600 but they never emailed me about it. The new date is written down...
