AMEX - Could this be a good sign?

I applied for the Delta Sky Miles Gold Card after getting an email soliciting me - I just signed up for Delta Rewards, so I guess I was on the list.  I applied, and then it said they needed to think about it.  Then I got an email that says this - thoughts???  Could this be good news?

I think I received an email like that but my approval was instant.  I received the email you mentioned and the welcome email.

lol thats just a standard email they send out normally to folks they couldn't approve instantly online. It doesn't mean anything neither is it an indication of a denial or approval so don't even think too much into it

Happened to me a few days ago with the Amex Cash blue card.  I literally called them 5 minutes after i got the email and they approved me over the phone.  Id give them a ring.

Standard message...you should be getting a link to check the status of the application, you'll need your last name and SSN to view it.  You could call and talk to someone (as i did) and inquire and hope they approve it over the phone.  If denied, call recon line.
