AMEX Credit limit increase

EQUIFAX score is 720. Amex account has been open for 7 months (made 6 payments). Credit utlization has been between 40% and 46% each month, however, the balance has been paid in full each month (never carried a balance). This is my only card so want to request CLI to lower utlization. How likley would a 3x current limit be at this point?

Kind of depends on your current limit, doesn't it? 10,000 to 30,000 there's probably very little chance. 1500 to 4500 seems likely. There's no reason not to try.

Requesting a CLI from AMEX is always a SP. The only thing that might impede with you getting the approval is the UT which is 40%. Lowering that will not only help your scores, but AMEX will probably see that as a positive action on your part. I hope you get the CLI approval which is very likely. But in the event that they say No, then you would only need to wait for 3 mos.
