AMEX Everyday...CLI

Recently got the Amex everyday. Limit is only $500. How long should I wait before requesting a line increase or has anyone found they do it automatically? Thanks.

61 days after you open you can ask for a 3x limit increase. See the definitive guide for more details.

From my personal experience they will not give a cli if there is still a BK showing on your reports.  If there is no BK then you should be good to go after 61 days.

It is possible to ask for one before 61 days but it really is a ymmv type of thing. You may or may not get approved and i believe if not approved it resets your clock 90 days to ask again ( someone can correct me on that if im wrong). Being bordetlinexat $500, it may be best to wait til day 61

I applied for a US Bank AmEx 365 last week and it came with an amazing $500 credit line. I called them and asked them to increase it and today it has a $5,000 credit line. Yep, 10x CLI, with a seven year old bankruptcy (still showing for three more years), within a couple days of opening the account. And my scores are in the 710-720 range right now, because I opened four other credit cards in the past 60 days. So I was at 786 in March, when I leased a car, and 740+ when I started collecting rewards cards a couple months ago.

I had the same problem. I called immediately and explained that I had at least a $5k limit on all of my cards. Today I looked and they bumped it to $5k! I called the day after approval to request the CLI.

Wait 61 days, PIF and call and ask. try for more than 3x over the phone.
