Not all referral links necessarily offer an elevated bonus. One way to get an elevated SUB from Amex Platinum is go to the signup page using different browsers. Try your phone, your computer, your work computer, etc., etc until an elevated bonus pops up, then apply right away. You can also try private or incognito browser windows on each browser. There's a randomness to it, so keep trying until you see one and be prepared to pounce when you do. If you don't see one today, try tomorrow. A little patience eventually pays off.
