OK well I applied for the AMEX green and was denied. They pulled my EX which happens to be my lowest ( at the time of app was 655). When I called in and spoke to an analyst they said I can fax over my TU and EQ reports which are higher. The only reason I am trying this is seeing some scores in the 650's get approved and now my sores are 675 and 678TU FICO. Ok now what would I exactly fax over? would I Fax over the reports from myfico showing my scores and info with the 3 CRA? or go to the individual sites and request the reports and fax that over?
I would call again. I can't believe that they wouldn't pull the other credit reports on their own. I can't believe they would trust any credit report sent from an individual where the report has the chance of being doctored up. I wouldn't always trust front line customer service. Good Luck!
Backdoor numbers.

I called that number , AmEx: 800-567-1083
I was expecting them to maybe ask if they could pull my other reports and check it while I was on the phone
Do you know why your score is 655 on one bureau and 675 on others? What does your credit profile look like?
And +1 to Cold, faxing a credit information item is not standard operating procedure. For the same reason, AMEX does not let you send in your tax return, rather you send them the 4506-T Transcript Authorization form so they can get it directly from the IRS.
My EX is lower since I have 1 collection from 2009 beacuse of my brothers cellphone plan I signed for him. I also had a secured card that I recently closed that dropped it a few points.
I think I have a fair mix of things. I financed a truck in 2012 for 19k@3.25%, I have a couple furniture accounts that are paid off 100% on time. I have pulled out a couple of loans for around 1-3k that have been paid off. I do not have a mortgage tho. My credit took a very big hit when I was in college and didnt payback a wells fargo CC until this year. I was in the 580's and a year later brought up to 670's
So should I call back on monday and ask to make sure this is standard procedure or call right now to check on that?
now
Ok I called and the rep told me that He did not know why the previous rep would ask me to fax over my credit reports. I told him it seemed kind of weird and a compromise to my personal information. The rep told me he forwarded my recon to the underwriters and I should know within 24-72 hours.
I clicked on app status and it says "In progress" does that make any difference?
