AMEX income verification trigger - 25k for one card or 25k total accross all cards?

Do they ask for income verification once you hit 25k credit line total? or on one card?

I want to ask for CLIs but don't want to go through their income verification. I currently have 12k on BCE and 10k on SPG.

Total Exposure.  25k is an urban myth what sets off the request as well.  Sure alot of people kinda think that is the magical number, but that simply isn't the truth.  You can have 15k total cl's across them on various cards and they can request it. personally I am at 48k now and never been asked for the 4606-t form.  You can always submit it and it requested for a CLI not put it in and your CL will remain same or log back out and in if you got the request for form and ask for a lower amount and it might give it to you without form request as well as people have done this as well.

It depends solely on each individual's credit profile with Amex rather than the "25K trigger" that many seem to believe.

Neither. They ask for verification when and if they think they need to verify your income.

They could do it as any point - there is no "25k trigger" or "35k trigger".

It's the same simple form used for every standard mortgage application....

Note. With AMEX you can only get 1 CLI every 181 days. You won't be able to request on both cards.

I guess I fall into the experience of urban myth than. I requested a CLI to 30k on my DW's BCP, and Amex asked for the form. I then just requested again, but this time for 25k and it was auto approved.

Me personally, I requested increase to 30k with no issues.

So many factors go into this equation..  Income/Credit Profile/Usage W/Amex/Other cards and limits and utilization and the list continues.  We will never know what all goes into it.
