I was pre-qualified for the Platinum but nothing else? Is that typical considering Platinum is a little tougher? Was "invited" to apply for everythine else.
Thanks
AMEX personal charge cards including the Platinum aren't all that difficult to get approved for. Your credit history matters but many people with scores in the upper 600s get approved.
Thanks,
But I don't understand why I was pre-qualified ONLY for the platinum.

From my understanding, all charge cards have the same underwriting, so no, Platinum isn't "tougher," it just has different perks and a much higher AF than it's siblings.

Don't put too much weight in what you see on pre-qual pages. If you're seeing the Platinum, likely you're approved for gold too and perhaps others - I don't know your score or any other data points for you. That would help us better guage your likelyhood of apprval. I can tell you, (as an example of poor pre-qual pages) Capital One pre-qual lists ONLY their secured card for me when I pre-qual. Clearly I can do better. ![]()
