Additional cap one cards?

I have a QS1 and a platinum. I noticed they have a regular QS and a classic platinum. Should I app for these? Along with those 2 cap one cards, I have the open sky secured card and an auto loan.

Yes, you can app for them. They may or they may not give you another account. Some people have had as many as five.

Why do you want those 2 cards when you already have similar ones?  Just curious..

Re: Additional cap one cards?

Just wanted an additional cap one card for the positive TL. I tried for another one and was a big fat no. Oh well.

Sorry to hear about the denial but you if already have 2 and a secured card.  I'd just keep using for a few more months so that your score go up a bit.  Once in the mid 600s, you can apply for other cards and not necessarily CAP 1 cards...

Agree, plenty of other suitable cards out there OP.  I wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket when it comes to the same lender given you already have 2 others.  Grow/expand your portfolio beyond Capital One.

I'm gardening and will definitely be moving on to other things, either during the holidays or next year. Cap 1 helped me a lot though that I can say for sure

Re: Additional cap one cards?

Capital one is responsible for making me 'average' again thats for sure lol. I had ~588 scores not long ago. I got one of those credit ones, used it for cellphone only for a year, then a quiksilver with 1.5% back, and a journey no annual fee 1.25%. I used my calculator for rewards vs. fees and decided to close the quicksilver when I received the chase freedom. The feeling I get from these boards for under 700 fico's is rock Cap1 if you got them but citi amex and chase offer the same thing have more potential for cardholders in the long run. If you have no baddies then your potential is everywhere.I have to be friends with TU and work from there, once i learned that I can play with the big boys with an arm behind my back by only apping on TU pulls and runing away from experian and equifax then I will do so.

Not every case can be made online. Call them and just ask for what you want. Id rather have a quicksilver or venture, or whatever is the new darling with a 5k credit limit than 2capital ones with another hard pull with 2500 and 2500.
