Hi,
Applied for the QS1 cc and got denied. Any suggestions? Should I call and ask for reconsider? Should I try another cc, say, Chase Freedom or other with cashback rewards?
Thanks!
My stats:
CS: 580-614
Visa 10/11: $300 CL
Best Buy CC 02/14: $750CL
Student Loans; $90k
Auto Loan: 10k
NO missed CC payments
Couple Auto Loan payments missed
Income: $50k
You endured a triple pull. I would pray some type of recourse exists. Perhaps a secured card or journey card, or even a regular platinum card that can change later on. I would list your AAOA and what specific baddies you have.
Also, I'm from Puerto Rico which is not listed when filling the address information in the application. Maybe that was a factor?

OP, I replied to you in your other thread regarding this...
I currently live in Puerto Rico. I applied for the QuickSilverOne with my friends address in the US. I was instantly approved, so I don't think that's the reason.
UPDATE
Just received a Capital One letter explaining the reasons for denial. They said "" they reason for our decision is based on your application information, residence is outside of Capital One's service area". Nothing about my credit score or stats. But they did say that they pulled credit score info.
Any comments, suggestions, advice?? It would certainly be welcomed.
Thanks!!

At this point, really the only thing anybody can suggest is to go with another lender that will accept a PR address on the application, or use a friend/relative's address in the U.S.
Once the account is established, changing the billing address to PR might (?) not be a problem, but I honestly don't know. Since PR is served by the USPS just like one of the states an address there isn't exactly 'foreign', but Capital One might have an internal policy that restricts the billing address 'strictly' to the U.S.
