For membership only, it looks like they need chexsystems, not sure why, because I do not plan to open checking or saving account. I thought that there would be a SP to check Fico credit score for membership. Does anyone know the requirement to membership? It is hard to contact their customer service by phone.

ETA - they have a very prominent disclaimer when you apply for membership. Opening a share savings account for membership, which most CUs require at minimum, will involve ChexSystems

Via this application, Affinity will verify credit (where applicable), identity and account history using third parties such as ChexSystems.
