For membership it is a soft pull on EQ. Apps are hps.

In my case it was a hard pull from Equifax.

Most people report it is a SP to join Alliant. I have seen some people report an EQ hard pull, but it might have been for a checking account. Any loan products apart from a SSL, expect a HP (although, I have never apped with Alliant).

I only received a HP when I applied for an Alliant credit card.

Membership, savings, checking, share secured loan all was done without a hard pull.
