Ally credit card

I just submitted an app and it didn’t spin. It just said “in process.” I didn’t know if it’s normal for them to not give an instant decision or if it’s usually a denial.

Ally CCs are underwritten by TD Bank. A majority of their applications are not instant. So that's fairly a standard response.

How does your overall profile look like? They tend to be a bit on the conservative side with the Ally CC program.

My EX is 741, 3.5 yrs history.

Most recent approvals are an auto loan in December.

I credit card in December and one this month.

2 INQ on EX in last 6 mo. Last one in January

It doesn't appear that you've had a lot of recently opened accounts and/or inquiries since they typically pull EX.

Any negatives? Aside from the recent auto loan and two recent cards, what other accounts do you have?

I called and the system denied me for an auto loan under 18 mo old. She said she would submit it for an underwriter to review it manually.

No negative marks on any of my files. I have nine credit accounts opened over a 3.5 year credit life (2 of the 9 are auto loans, with one being paid off).

My seven credit cards range from 23k with Barclaycard Rewards to an 800 shell card (my first card).

Just keep in mind that any manual review reconsiderations can have a 50/50 outcome. Often times they stick to the original decision, but hopefully you'll have a good outcome.
