Hello Everyone, first let me thank everyone for their help, I'm really interested in applying for the Amazon Prime Visa, i do alot of shopping on amazon, so that 5% cashback would be really nice, my problem is i'm not really sure if im over 5/24, my current cards are: Capital One Quicksilver (10/19), Chase Freedom Flex (10/20), NFCU Cash Rewards (12/20), Chase Sapphire Preferred: (3/21), Amex Gold (7/21), Kawasaki Card (4/21), i opened the kawasaki card to buy a couple of things when i bought a motorcycke this past april, it doesn't appear as a credit card in my reports, in my experian app it appears as a Secured credit line and in credit karma it appears as a loan, would i be ok to apply for the prime visa? or would that kawasaki card count towards the 5/24, my scores are around high 740s, low 750s. Sorry if it's a dumb question.
In the Experian app does the Kawasaki account appear under installment loans or revolving credit lines? Because from a quick search on the internet it seems to be a credit card so I'm doubting CK is reporting that correctly
@simplynoir i just checked right now, it appears under revolving credit lines, i guess its just a different type of credit card, but it would still count towards 5/24 right?, it's definitely a weird credit card, i can only use it for buying motorcycle related gear.
Unfortunately I think it will still count against 5/24.

It sounds more like a charge account similar to what Dell does with their credit lines. You have a Line of Credit that reports as a revolving credit card but the uses are limited to the store itself sort of like a store card. So yes I would say that account will count towards your 5/24 status unfortunately
Good news is there is another option if you want an Amazon card. They do offer the store card version backed by Synchrony which still earns the 5% cashback for all Amazon purchases if you have Prime membership but unlike the Chase version this can only be used at Amazon. Something to think about if you really want a similar card
@simplynoir yeah! That's pretty much how it works, because it only lets me buy motorcycle gear and from specific locations, well it serve it's purpose.
Thanks for all that great info! I'm not really interested in the synchrony one due to the fact of it being only usable at amazon. I like the versatility of using it at amazon (and getting the benefits) and as a normal credit card, also i've been banking with chase for a while, so it would be convenient to have it on my chase app, but oh well, thanks for all the info and help, i really appreciate it!
