Amazon Store Credit Card Denial Question

Hi there.

Back on July 27th, 2016 I applied for an Amazon.com Store Credit Card (Chase Bank provider) and about a week later they sent me a letter saying I was denied because of insufficient income (I accidently check the box with the lowest income, I believe it was 5000/yr--Accident). The letter also said that I could somehow reapply  and change information on the application. However, I lost that paper and completely forgot about it until now. I was wondering if there was a way to reapply without having a credit check done. Has anyone had experience doing this?

Your help is greatly appreciated Smiley Happy

Re: Amazon Store Credit Card Denial Question

I doubt it not this long after anyways, the Amazon card by Chase is actually a Visa card and a bit harder to get than the regular store version which is thru Synchrony Bank . Just incase you wanted to try them .

Re: Amazon Store Credit Card Denial Question

Do a search for a back door reconsideration number and go from there, at this point all you can do is give em a call and explain what happened, whether or not they use the same HP is up in the air. Good Luck.

Re: Amazon Store Credit Card Denial Question

Call chase, they are the one who issues the Visa card. Search for chase recon or backdoor numbers on here, you should find what your looking for.

Your original post quoted that it was for the 'Amazon Store Credit Card'. If that is the case and it is not for the Visa product (issued by Chase), then call Synchrony Bank and not Chase. Synchrony services the store card.
