Re: Amazon Synchrony CLI wait period - Denied

Just got off the call with CSR and the request was denied... they'll send a letter, as usual.

I'm not sure why... my credit score has been bumped up by a lot, TU 740 EX 730 EQ 748 with just 2 HP on file in the past 1yr...

Re: Amazon Synchrony CLI wait period - Denied

That is strange, perhaps you need a little more time with them before they begin to budge. When I first opened Amazon/Walmart in August, I didn't get a CLI until November (from 1.4k to 4k on both) and I did it online but my denied increase afterwards from 4k to 5k was denied for Amazon and I called and got them to match my 5k Walmart limit that I did the same day online.

I'd say give it another 2 weeks before attempting again, say like after your next statement cuts.

I've had the account for about 3yrs now... started with $300 and they increased about every 3mo until it reached $900.  Then I did the online CLI and was auto approved up to $1.9K.   The last denial letter said too short period on new CL but that increase was back in August... about 6mo ago.  so the wait is about 1yr between CLI request? :/

Both Synchrony accounts, PayPal smart connect and Amazon store card, are the lowest of my credit lines... not sure why they're being so stingy with my CLs.

Don't think is the case... I was recently approved, last month, for BoA and a big CLI for Chase Freedom (2k to 7K) and my current UR is 20% from 30% when I was approved for those cards with the same income.

If you called the regular customer service number this won't surprise me at all... if you called credit solutions I'll honestly be shocked you were turned down, though.

With a TU of 740 you should have no trouble getting what you want.  Did they put you on hold to check your credit?  If not then you called the wrong place; in my experience credit solutions will usually put you on hold for a couple of minutes to do the SP.  Smiley Wink

Note:  Credit Solutions is almost always a soft pull, even when they put you on hold to do the check.

Note#2:  There are several numbers for Credit Solutions; my personal favorite is (877) 379-8173.  Smiley Wink

The number the CSR on the chat gave me was 877 379 4936... Both chat and call CSRs asked me to wait for like 3min and they both gave me a different answer... I'll call that number you gave and see if I have better luck them.

Just got notified that the new BoA account with it's balance (60% UR since it's BT) was report to my credit file yesterday, but that shouldn't have given me a full denial.
