Applied for Amazon Prime Visa after seeing some success stories for being over 5/24 and I do my primary banking with them. Unforunately was met with a decline for being over 5/24. Back to the garden I go with my tail between my legs. 
So sorry to hear about your denial! Hopefully you will be under 5/24 soon! Have you given any consideration to applying for the the Amex Amazon Prime Business card? Perhaps that could be an option for you that would allow you to get the card now without impacting your 5/24 status.
@Jordan23ww Never even thought about this and I already have a pretty good established relationship with AMEX since 2015. Gave the app a whirl approved for 10k. Thanks for this. Wish I had known prior to burning two HPs.

Sorry to hear about the 2 wasted hard pulls! Hopefully the Amex approval was a soft inquiry which will kinda offset one of those Chase hard pulls! Also glad that you get to maintain your current 5/24 status! That's a win /win!
Did you try their preapproval? I'm at 6/24 but I'm preapproved. Haven't tried just because I want more Chase cards when I drop below 5/24 beginning of next year.
@FranknBeans I did not see it on the website when I went to apply. I certainly would have done that first.
