That bank statement was insufficient and they need the same thing again.

Guess I'm forever out of Amex.

A few options OP. Try escalating at another branch or Huntington location and see if a manager can assist. Otherwise, do you bank anywhere else such as a CU or other financial institution? You can see if perhaps they can assist with that request.

Only have an account at Huntington, who says that they can't provide what Amex needs,  per bank policy.

There is another branch in my area that I could try and see if they say the same thing. 

I may have messed up when I didn't add a phone number to the bank or his position at the bank. I should grab a card if they say they can provide a signed statement, like last time, but I believe that if they called the bank personnel they will not be able to confirm with them my address. (Because of their policy.) 

Maybe I'll wait it out and take the HP. After a while maybe they will "find me" and send me letters for a card like they do my son.

I would say, don't give up just yet. If you have that opportunity, give it a try and see what they can provide. Even if the Huntington Bank's statement is 'generic' by standards to see whether AmEx can accept it.
