I am currently an Amex Delta Card Member and wanted to expand my American Express membership. I decided to apply for the Blue Cash Everyday® Card yesterday and received the email confirming they successfully my application. I checked their application status page this morning and noticed that the card I applied for was not on the list. I called the number at the bottom of the application page and spoke to a woman who was very polite. I verified my information with her, and she confirmed that the application looked great and was telling me about the great benefits the card has and how I'd enjoy using it. This phrase right away made it seem like approval to me. She then told me that they just wanted to make sure that it was me who was applying for the card, to prevent fraud. After this, she told me that she forwarded the information to a different department (probably the security department), and I should hear a decision within 3-4 business days. I will keep the forum as updated as possible! As of now, I have not received a hard pull from American Express.
