Amex 2/90 rule

Hello FICO forums!
I am aware that Amex has a 2 credit card every 90 day rule, however say that I was approved for a card in January 1st and a second card on February 1st. What date would I then be able to apply for another card? Would the 90 days start from the first approval or second?

Re: Amex 2/90 rule

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong here, but I'm pretty sure you can apply for the 3rd card 91 days after you opened the first one, and apply for a 4th 91 days after you opened the 2nd one.  Good luck!

You can always call Amex and ask them

>7/2025 All 3 reports 830 - 845(F8) F9s = all 850 but my app finger is still twitching
