Also be aware they are starting to pull TU too. I was approved for the AMEX BCP 2 days ago and I was shocked to see they tried to pull my TU profile but there was a credit freeze on so the inquiry was blocked but they still approved me with only my EX profile.

Also I currently have 31 inquiries on my EX. im working on getting them down I was last denied in August 2021 so I let atleast 6 months pass and got approved for it. I have 2 30 day lates on my profile but they are past 3 years ago

Not really new, they pulled my TU Jan 2021. (Funny bone too)![]()
Thats weird. When I applied last year August 2021 they only pulled EX I get they switch it up randomly

Well, they think I'm weird (or sketchy)....they've hp'd me for so many accts. over the past few years, even as an existing member, it's just beyond ...well, WEIRD. I don't have a problem with them extending me credit but they like to hike their leg all over my reports for some reason. I've kind of complained a time or two here. But yeah, the last hp was TU.....which actually was in my favor but "Whoomp There It Is".

I heard that when you get approved for your first AMEX card anything after that is a softpull. Is this true?

That is the case for some, but not all. YMMV.
