Ask today, you can ask for up to three times your current limit.
I know it is usually a soft pull..... do they sometimes do a hard pull?
Or, can you call instead of requesta CLI on line and request a soft pull only increase (just in case), I am considereing asking for an increase on my ( Blue Cash Pref currently @ $5700, 4 months old ) I do have an Every Day with $12,500 ( 21 months old ) & a Gold card ( over 2 years old ) .... but also wish to apply for another card from elsewhere ( FNBO & or Chase )....... and I'm trying to decide which to do first.... no credit hits in last 12 /... 4 in / 24.... ( two dropping off in November )
So which first Amex CLI or new app elsewhere ?

Amex Cli would almost be SP so you can go for that first, then next I would get chase card given you're at 4/24.
