Re: Amex EveryDay - go for it?

Congrats on your approval!

I would now personally apply for the Premier Rewards gold card as well in INCOGNITO/Private mode on your browser..  Close it out and open it back up and keep trying until you get the 50k offer, not the 25k offer... If you don't know what incognito mode means w/regards to chrome or private browsing means with firefox etc, google it... Apply for the PRG card if your AAoA can take the hit.. That will give you an additional 50k MR with your ED 25k MR totals 75k MR's.. Keep in mind that the spend requirement for the PRG is 1k in 3 months for the 50k reward MR along with whatever the ED spend requirement was for the 25k MR's.. 75k MR's is quite a bit and will get you a few round trip tickets somewhere once you do your research.  If you apply tonight it should only be 1 HP on your EXP report... If you were to apply tomorrow it woud be 2.  Just something to consider since you went for the ED aka MR card.

Re: Amex EveryDay - go for it?

Thanks for the info CreditCuriousity!

I did get it (50000) on chrome after a couple tries, but it says this:

"If you are identified as a current or former American Express Card Member, this offer may not be available to you."

I may have a problem getting the 3000 spend in 90 days for both, also the AF is a turn off for me.

But appreciate your trying to help!

Not a problem.. They don't enforce the policy of if you are a current card member alot of us got the 100k promo on the platinum recently(just put it there basically for legal reasons or if they want some kinda out, but rarely have seen it enforced), but if you question whether you can meet the spend then hold off for sure!  Congrats on your other approval though, that PRG one should be around down the line if you decide to jump on it in a month or several months down the line

AF is waived the first year. As for meeting all your spend requirements, you could 0% balance transfer the $1k you have to spend on the PRG to the Everyday card. Then you have some time to pay it off.

It's best to save these Amex double apps until you have large spending. Don't feel pressured into apping by these guys - they do the same thing to everyone that comes in here Smiley Happy. I'm not apping the Chase Sapphire Preferred until I'm ready to put in tile floors, because that $4k spend is going to be hard for me otherwise.

Re: Amex EveryDay - go for it?

Thanks DeeBee78!

I am going to play safe, the two for one HP would be nice, but spend wise and the AAoA hit is not right for me at this point.

Some do tend to push here, I see that, but they did push me to go for my John Deere card recently, and that worked out great for me!

A (hopefully) hidden tradeline for 15000.00 with one TU pull, took care of a big problem I had.
