Hey everyone,
So last month (with the help of the folk here, on r/churning, and many blogs), I was approved for the CSP/Freedom on the same day! I've found a backdoor link to a 100k Amex Plat offer through creditcards.com and am really tempted to pull the trigger. My scores/profile are below:
CK EQ Score: 728
CK TU Score: 735
CC Utilization: 2%
Credit Open:
WF - 5k
CSP - 16k
Freedom - 10k
Auto Loan - 5.8k remaining
Baddies: none
Avg Age: 10 mo (due to the new CSP/Freedom and me being fairly young)
Oldest Card: 2.4 yrs
Hard Inquiries (EQ): 5
Income: 82k
Reasons for wanting plat: I travel a lot, and a good deal internationally. The travel benefits alone would more than make up the $450 AF for me ($200 credit and premium lounge access). The 100k points would supplement travel plans I have in the future as well
Should I go for it? Amex pre-qual offered me Everyday, BC, and BCP
I think your odds are excellent.
You have a strong cahnce of gettig it. Report back with results if you do apply..
Is AmEx usually okay with thin profiles with not too much age?
That's the only real hesitation I have to pulling the trigger

Yes, they love thin profiles. You are over thinking it... Go do your thing
..
You have good scores and good income. i dont see a problem other than the AAOA. I say you have a good chance.
Did you app yet?

He's either too excited because he got approved and forgot that myFICO.com exists or he got denied and forgot that myFICO.com exists ![]()
.Good chances at approval but better hope Amex will honor the offer. Many cases where cardmatch says one thing and Amex says another and then won't give you the points.

I think it'll be fine if the actual Amex landing page through which the application is done has the offer.
