Amex Platinum AF Waived

Hi there,
I heard Amex waive the $695 annual fee for the Platinum card for military members. What documents should one provide to prove the military status? Does one need to provide it while applying or after getting approved?

Thank you!

Re: Amex Platinum AF Waived

Fees are waived under SCRA if a card was acquired prior to active duty.  You just need to send them a copy of your orders.  If opened after you are on active duty, MLA applies.  Annual fees on credit cards are not required to be waived under MLA.  Although Amex did seem to offer relief until a few years ago; that was likely stopped due to abuse.
