Amex after Bk

So I burned Amex in my 2017 bk13.

Every  time I go to prequalified site, Instant denial until tonight. It spun and said I prequalified for several cards including the Platinum.

My question is am I back in or will I still get denied?

only way to know is to apply directly, if you do apply, there won't be a hard credit pull unless approved and you accept the offer

look around and see if you can find the 150k points offer before applying though: private browsing, different browsers, referral links on reddit etc.

Re: Amex after Bk

I tried the first time they didn't outright deny me for pre-approvals based on BK and was able to get the BCP without issue. But as mentioned, it doesn't hurt to go through the whole pre-approval process if there's a card they offered that interests you. It won't hard pull unless you accept.

Update

They approved me for the BCE, didn't go for Platinum as I already have Venture X with 40,000 limit.

I burned them for over 10,000 in 2017, kind of surprised they approved me for anything after reading so much about the Amex Blacklist.

Congratulations!  I burned them for nearly thirty-grand back in my 2015 Chapter 13; I'd love to have a Delta card again but each time I have tried in the past they always reference my previous account.  I'm currently applying for a mortgage so now is a bad time for me to try again, but after I move I probably will take a whack at getting back in.  Thanks for your perserverence and reporting your successful reentrance to the world of AMEX.

Chapter 13:

  • Burned: AMEX, Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo, and South County Bank (now Bank of Southern California)
  • Filed: 26-Feb-2015
  • MoC: 01-Mar-2015
  • 1st Payment (posted): 23-Mar-2015
  • Last Payment (posted): 07-Feb-2020
  • Discharged: 04-Mar-2020
  • Closed: 23-Jun-2020

I categorically refuse to do AZEO!
