Sorry to hear but it seems they probably suspected fraud based on what you just said. Before dealing with Amex, freeze all your reports immediately if you haven't done so already as it seems someone else has your information.
Once that is done, call Amex back and see exactly what they need to remove the suspension from your account. Because all we can do is speculate as to why Amex suspended it based on your post. So call them and get the steps need to get your card back to normal. Keep us posted.

Do u speculate that they would want to see my tax returns perhaps or fiancial info or just a simple Phone call to remove the block
Usually, account suspended means they want to see some financial infomation. But that may not be true in your case that is why I said lets not speculate until you call to see exactly what they need to remove the suspension.
If you have not made any charges and just mistakenly made a payment, then there has to be another reason but only Amex knows for sure. Do you have other Amex's and also, if you didn't use the card, what prompted you to make a payment? Just curious..

I don't have other Amex cards ithought I was making a payment on my Bank of America business card since they are both business cards I understand my error but that's not enough to suspend charges
Oh ok.. We all make mistakes. Call Amex and explain the error if that is the red flag. If they want tax returns /financial documants they will let you know also. Keep us posted on what they said.. Have you called already?
